Sales and Marketing Administrative Assistant (East Coast Office)

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Sales and Marketing organizations. Individual will project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.

The successful candidate will capably and enthusiastically:

  • Support for creation and administration of quotations and proposals
  • Coordinate trade show events, logistics, and booth materials
  • Enter all leads (telephone, email, trade show, web site leads) in a CRM database. Maintain database, administer contacts and accounts, keep contact and account information up-to-date, lead support, run sales reports for management
  • Fulfil and ship related literature and promotional item requests for customers and sales team
  • Support marketing initiatives by ensuring proper literature and collateral materials are available for sales efforts, advertising placements, exhibit and conference activities, press and product release administration, and network file and archiving maintenance
  • Assists with planning, organizing, and directing promotional activities from concept to completion including advertising, sales promotions of products, direct mail, direct e-mail, web marketing, sales collateral (flyers, brochures, etc.), product launches & co-marketing
  • Marketing and technical writing (i.e. assist on user manual development, minor marketing writing, etc.)
  • Assist and support ongoing product sales training and meetings
  • Backup to the Office Administrator
  • Perform administrative and other miscellaneous duties to maintain day-to-day operations

Automation Engineer (East Coast Office)

An Automation Engineer at HighRes Biosolutions works to configure a robotic system to meet the system's required specifications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with steady and consistent travel of up to several weeks at a time, consisting of up to 35% of the year. The position is educational, demanding, and rewarding.

Position Responsibilities:

Senior Buyer (East Coast Office)

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of our growing development and operations team for laboratory automation instruments.

The successful candidate will capably and enthusiastically:

  • Maintain correct inventory levels in support of production requirements
  • Place purchase order requisitions
  • Obtain quotations and examining bids
  • Expedite orders to ensure delivery requirements are met
  • Ensure raw materials and components are purchased and delivered to support production schedules
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery dates and order status
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding quality issues, cost-reduction efforts and overall performance
  • Negotiate blanket purchase orders and release material as needed to meet schedule
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with production to maintain inventory at planned levels
  • Provide purchasing support to new product development efforts
  • Prepare reports as needed on inventory levels and status
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements for this position include: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Computer skills including MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems as related to purchasing and planning functions
  • Knowledge of make-to-order and make-to-stock production processes including JIT and kanban
  • Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing documentation
  • Experience with a wide variety of manufacturing processes and engineering components, including sheet metal, machined parts, motion control components, electronics, cabling and pneumatics
  • Attention to detail
  • A strong commitment to lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience
  • APICS/NAPM certification is a plus

Software Engineer - Front End Programmer/UI Designer (East Coast Office)

HighRes Biosolutions is looking for a Front End Programmer/UI Designer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing both new and pre-existing software with an eye for top-notch, innovative usability and look & feel. Projects are developed at a rapid pace and to the highest standards. The qualified individual will be responsible for design, implementation, and testing of user interfaces using the newest technologies. This individual will participate in all aspects of the lifecycle of production software from design to release. Skill in advanced graphic design is a must. The candidate will consult with end-users to deliver the most efficient, usable, pleasing interface designs.

Other requirements for this position include:

  • knowledgeable in current technologies such as ASP.net, AJAX, Flash, CSS, and .NET
  • C# a must
  • experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (or comparable applications

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering teams and coordinate activities of engineering department to design, develop, document, improve, and test components, products, and systems
  • Provide planning, direction, and coordination for all technical activities while achieving optimum use of workers, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Administer personnel functions including recruiting and hiring exceptional engineers, and managing performance evaluations
  • Plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up performance against estimates
